RANDY DOHERTY, Chief Executive Officer, C.P.A.
Since joining Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital's staff in 1993, he has held the positions of Controller, Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to his current position of Chief Executive Officer in July 2000. He is a graduate of Northeastern University majoring in Business Administration.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and is also a member of the AICPA, MSCPA, and HFMA of which he recently received the Follimer Bronze Merit Award for outstanding service.
He is also a member of the Massachusetts Hospital Association Board of Trustees.
Thomas Whalen, Chief Financial Officer, CHFP, CPA
Prior to joining Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, he held CFO positions at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA, Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, MA and Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg, NC. He has a BS degree from Boston College with a major in Accounting and holds an MBA with a dual concentration of Health Care Management and Finance from Boston University. He is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA, MSCPA, HFMA, and ACHE.
TERESA HAYES, Director of Business Development
As Director of Business Development, Teresa manages referral services, admissions, marketing/public relations, and managed care at Braintree. Prior to joining Braintree, she served for two years as Director of Marketing Operations and for three years as a referral liaison and case manager at Van Matre HealthSouth Rehab Hospital, Rockford, IL.
A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), she earned her MSW from Boston College. Additionally, Teresa holds a certification in Gerontology from the University of South Alabama.
ROSE FARRENKOPF, RN, Director of Quality and Risk Management
Rose joined Braintree Rehab Hospital in 2004 as the Risk Manager and maintained that role until 2009 when she was promoted to Director of Quality and Risk Management. As the Director of Quality and Risk Management she has overseen multiple, successful Joint Commission Surveys.
She was previously employed at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA as the Performance Improvement Specialist and Director of Patient Care Services at Mass Respiratory Hospital in Braintree.
Rose is a graduate of the Catherine La Boure School of Nursing and has over 20 years of healthcare management experience.
JINIA DRINKWATER, Director of Patient Care Services
Since joining the staff at Braintree Hospital in 1982, Jinia has served as a staff nurse and nurse manager of the neurobehavior unit. She was promoted to her current position of Director of Patient Care Services in December 1998. Jinia earned her RN from Children's Hospital School of Nursing and has had her Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing since 1989.
JULIANNE RICCIUTI, MBA, PT, Director of Outpatient Operations
Julianne has been employed at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital since 1983. She has held a variety of clinical and administrative positions, from treating clinician to Clinic Manager.
Julianne earned a BS in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1983 and an MBA in Health Care Management from Western New England College in 1992.
TARA AMSTUTZ, Director of Human Resources
Tara joined Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital in May 2007. She
brings seven years experience in Human Resources Management in the
healthcare, research, and service industries. In addition to her BA
Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University, Tara has
also earned her Master of Science in Human Resources from
Suffolk University.
CAROL GORMAN, Director of Case Management
Carol has been an employee of BRH since January 2000 and previously worked as a Neuro Case Manager on the stroke unit.
She is a licensed social worker and has over 13 years of case management experience in acute, sub-acute and acute rehabilitation models.
She holds a BA in psychology from the University of Massachusetts
DANIEL PARKINSON, PT, MBA, Director of Clinical Services
Dan has worked at Braintree since 1996 as a Clinical Supervisor and has served as the Director of Clinical Services since 2000. Prior to working at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, Dan worked as a physical therapist at Yale - New Haven Hospital. He has earned his B.S. in Physical Therapy at Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY and has earned his Masters in Business Administration at The University of Massachusetts, Boston. Dan has provided clinical presentations at the APTA Combined Sections
Meeting: Neurology Section, Massachusetts APTA Chapter Meetings, The
Annual Braintree Neurorehabilitation Conferences, Boston University,
School of Physical Therapy, and the American Heart Association's "Get
With The Guidelines - Stroke Program".
SANDRA LYNCH, MS,RN,BSN, CRRN, Assistant Director of Nursing
Sandra has been an employee at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital since 1990.She has held various positions in the Nursing Department including staff nurse, Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager and her most current position as Assistant Director of Nursing since February 2004.She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Gerontology specifically in the Management of Aging Services from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She has been certified in Rehabilitation Nursing since 2004.
